How to Make a Brooder Fence Using Singleface Corrugated Cardboard for Baby Chicks / Chickens

Singleface Corrugated Cardboard B Flute Rolls are perfect for making temporary enclosures for your baby chicks. The flutes provide the "wall" strength to stand up, and being "single-wall", or flat only on one side, allows the cardboard to curve to make a round enclosure or cage. The cardboard is strong enough to keep the hatchlings in, but be sure to set up in a safe place as it will not keep out predators. Available in 12", 15", 18" and 24" widths (height). The bigger the bird, the taller we would recommend. Also as the birds get older, they can jump, so keep this in mind when settling on a height.

  • Keep your baby birds in one place, and from wandering away and into the jaws of predators.
  • Use as a fence to keep chicks where you want them
  • Helps to keep drafts out
  • 25ft length makes an approx 8 ft circle. (Approx. 100 chicks can fit in this circle)
  • Good for all poultry; Chickens, Turkeys, Pheasants, Ducklings, Quail, etc
